Thèmes de recherche
My work contributes to the understanding of the cognitive and neural mechanisms allowing non-verbal social cues (such as emotions and gaze directions) to constantly shape one’s perception, cognition and behavior. I also investigate whether or not the processing of non-verbal social cues is impaired in different pathologies (including TDAH, Alzheimer Disease and unilateral neglect) and may be used or not to compensate for other cognitive or social declines. I employ different neuroscientific methodologies and techniques from cognitive neuroscience in combination with behavioral measures, including electroencephalography (EEG), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and the recording of autonomic responses.
