Thèmes de recherche

Mes travaux et recherches portent sur les relations sportives franco-africaines - plus spécifiquement l'Afrique noire francophone (subsaharienne) - entre les situations coloniales et postcoloniales.

Il s'agit notamment de prendre en considération les évolutions dans les relations internationales après la Seconde Guerre mondiale (en contexte de Guerre froide, décolonisation, indépendances coloniales, etc.) intégrant les rapports au système sportif mondial représenté par le Mouvement olympique et son organisation faîtière, le Comité international olympique (CIO).

Mes recherches s'intéressent aux transformations des dispositifs de pouvoirs, la déconstruction des formes de discours sur les pratiques sportives et politiques sportives aussi bien dans chacun des pays d'Afrique noire francophone que les répercussions en métropole française (corps, pratiques, politiques, médias, etc.) et s'ouvrant aux influences étrangères (USA, URSS, Lusophone, Hispanophone, Chine, etc.).

Aujourd'hui, je continue ces travaux et leur mise en valeur scientifique issus de ma thèse de doctorat (2010) par la publication d'articles, de chapitre d'ouvrages, de livres, workshops et congrès. Le projet est de poursuivre ces travaux des années 1960 à la fin des années 1990.

De plus, j'ouvre mes recherches à la lutte anti-dopage (programme UNESCO) dans une perspective internationale au sein de l'ISP et en collaboration avec la Chaire UNESCO obtenue par le Pr Patrick Trabal, intitulée "Etude du dopage et analyse des politiques antidopage" (2017).
